Sorry for everyone about my comments I left in spite. But seriously, though... Halo 3. I played it for about an hour, and talked about the first hour of gameplay. Fun. That's all I'll say, not the other things I said. Seriously, Halo 3 though...
...IT IS A GAME. Video. Game. And if you are going to get THIS worked up over a video game, that's not fine at all. Just realise that if you ask me politely to stop talking, I will. But no, people got too worked up over this.
Master Chief has the following things happen to him depending on what difficulty you play, and here's the whole shabang: ( When they arrive )
So there we go. I just spoiled the game for some people who clicked on the links. I will leave the cut their though, because if you're like me, you'll play the game, even if someone spoils the game. Or the movie.
PS: WIKIPEDIA ALSO HAS SPOILERS FOR IT ONLINE!

So I figured I might as well update this for the first time in months. So, what's new in my life? I'm still working at superstore, I've been single for a few months, I finished my History class with a B+, which now allows me, as of the day I completed that course, to start registering for psych courses at UVic. 'cause I'm now a 3rd year psychology student at UVic. *squees* I'm on my way to that law degree. Slowly, but I'm on my way...
Are we failing our geniuses? - Something Ayn Rand would love... and it's pretty true.

International Day Against Homophobia
So yeah. The posters say "Sexual Orientation Isn't A Choice." But if I recall correctly, isn't there some scientists who are trying to help moms make their chidlren gay or straight if they want at birth (and yes I do realise the link isn't that great of a reference, but it was one of the first few I found on google so there). So sure, while it might NOT be a choice, for others in the future, it might. So while it might not be a choice, it soon might be. Got to just love science. Also this is just along there with those "Gay Pride" or "Black History Month" type events. We're all equal, so you should just treat people that way. If they're stupid, well, make fun of'em for being stupid. If they're gay or black or something else, that's just a coincidence. Anyways, little bit of a mini rant there, so. *shrugs* Now, random Genesis song of the day...
...and I'm sorry, everyone, it's not Phil f*cking Collins. Genesis - Looking For Someone

This is one of the few times you'll find me posting a Phil Collins song in my LJ. If ever.
But since that Jerry Falwell guy died, I think this song's a bit appropriate.

The Soundtrack to my Life So, here's how it works: 1. Open your music library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc) 2. Put it on shuffle/Random 3. Press play 4. For every question, type the song that's playing 5. When you go to a new question, press the next button YOU CAN’T CHEAT OR SKIP SONGS!
( Opening Credits, filler, Ending Credits )
If you make one of these, please reply to this and post it in your LJ. That one was using Winamp, lets see what iPod says...
( The Story Of My Life: The iPod Collection )
Last but not least, lets see what Windows Media Player has to say...
( The Story Of My Life: The WMP Collection )
If there's enough lulz, etc. at one of these lists in perticular I might try to write a script-type outline on it.
Only other big news, have an interview tomorrow with Rogers, among a few other places and might try getting back into the cellphone-selling business.
Had to come home work early due to my stomach giving me hell thanks to my lunch, chinese food at that damned place in Canwest Mall
Poker at the Six Mile Pub. Started at 6:30pm, and by 1:30am roughly, I was eliminated. In third place. I was two places away from getting a trip to Vegas. Oh well... sh*t happens.

Comment and I will name you 3 interests from your list and 3 userpicsand you explain them in your own post asking the same of your flistees.(this one from </a></b></a> _illuminez)
aqua teen hunger force: Quite possibly the greatest show relating to food. There's something about the capers that Meatwad, Fryloc, Master Shake, and Carl get into that just make me laugh. Also whenever I'm in Penticton, one of the neighbours of the house my parents rent out there (in the scungy part of town heh) reminds me of Carl. Except his car isn't "2 Wycked." Also I'm le emo tear because the movie, we're going to have to wait 'till a DVD release to see it up here at this rate. ;_;
sociology of deviance: Paul Brady. One of the funniest teachers I've ever had. Not to mention you actually learned stuff from him. There's nothing like commiting acts of deviance *after* being in one of his classes. After his exam, 6 of us went to play hackeysack on private property... and talked to a security guard for a long time and explained we were doing a sociological experiment. On deviance. *laughs* Yes, we're lame. That class had so many good memories.
reno 911! They've got progressively funnier over the years. Police officers... they're hilarious. One of the few shows I watch religiously. Other than hockey. http://www.apple.com/trailers/rogue_pictures/ballsoffury/ - Movie they're making soon.
This icon is an honourary icon for me being an old person thanks to John giving me that title. A 30 year old trapped in a 20 year old's body, maybe?
Got this mostly because I thought of fire_gryphon when I saw it since he love(d) tentacle rape. Now he's on to bigger and better things. Such as cat girls. Doesn't hurt either that I have an obsession with squids ever since Squidbillies. Another idiotic TV series like ATHF.
Was (Not Was) in a great example of why '80s music was so bad, but awesome at the same time. Was (Not Was) - Walk The Dinosaur

What's new? Johnny Chan Poker Classic in 2-3 weeks, so wish me luck in getting in on that $2.8 Million prize pot. Also thank you for everyone contributing to my fund to get there, I just hope I can win so you guys can get some money from it. School's mostly done, got an A- in Sociology of Deviance, mark in other classes are up in the air. Would talk about the Anthropology mark, and that stuff, but for fear of causing more drama than there should be, I'm not going to go any further. Long story short, group work is stupid and I should remember that working with friends isn't the smartest of ideas. Nor is being honest with them. Yes, Machiavelli is awesome, isn't he?

You are The Chariot
Triumph, Victory, Overcoming Obstacles.
The chariot is one of the most complex cards to define. On its most basic level, it implies war, a struggle, and an eventual, hard-won victory. Either over enemies, obstacles, nature, the beasts inside you, or to just get what you want. But there is a great deal more to it. The charioteer wears emblems of the sun, yet the sign behind this card is the moon. The chariot is all about motion, and yet it is often shown as stationary. It is a union of opposites, like the black and white steeds. They pull in different directions, but must be (and can be!) made to go together in one direction. Control is required over opposing emotions, wants, needs, people, circumstances; bring them together and give them a single direction, your direction. Confidence is also needed and, most especially, motivation. The card can, in fact, indicate new motivation or inspiration, which gets a stagnant situation moving again.
What Tarot Card are You? Take the Test to Find Out.

Happy birthday to semjay and kylesfox!
So, what's happened lately? I've got to write a 3-page propaganda and persuasion assignment for tomorrow, meaning I have to give a speech. It'll be a helluvalot of no fun at all.
Anyways, the flague's mostly out of my system which is always a plus, I worked way too much on a project due next week that I need to really haul ass on an assignment that's actually due for tomorrow. Also, today, met a real asshole at poker and he got so pissed off it caused him to lose only because of my unorthodox playstyle. He lost, I wasn't doing too good in chips when we came to heads-up play, but I ended up winning in the end, so next week I'll be dealing. Yay points!
And last but not least... ( what character from that Heroes TV series am I? )

All I can say on this valentines day, is hooray getting out of a sociology exam, then having a random stranger buy a good $100 worth of beer and booze for a friend and I... perfect way to end an exam I think I've got a good 90% on.
I know I don't talk on LJ much, but that's... well... I'll type something meaningful in here when I feel like it... and sober up tomorrow.

9:46 pm - Boo Hippies!
|
, you're now logged in! Below you'll find your test result. After, continue on to your homescreen to discover what we're about.
Not a hippie!
You are 36% experimental, 40% feral, 27% spiritual, and 30% square! |
Wait a second! You scored 25% or more on non-hippie! That's not hip, man - you're an imposter. But that's okay. We hippies are a pretty layed back bunch. We'll probably only throw things at you if you're wearing fur carrying a chainsaw. Maybe not even then, depends on what type of hippie you meet... |
 |
My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender: | You scored higher than 99% on experimental | | You scored higher than 99% on feral | | You scored higher than 99% on spiritual | | You scored higher than 99% on non-hippie |
|
Did anyone in my LJ expect anything less from me? :)
